Dark Goddess Hecate

“The Earth began to bellow, trees to dance
And howling dogs in glimmering light advance
Ere Hekate came.”

Dark Goddess Hecate’s celebration day is November 16

The Goddess Hecate was a deity of the night, crossroads, life and death. She was called Most Lovely One, the Distant One, Queen of the World of Spirits, goddess of witchcraft. To the Thracians especially, Hecate was goddess of the Moon, the dark hours, and the Underworld. Midwives were connected with her.

Some myths say Hecate was the daughter of the Titans Tartaros and Night; other versions say of Perseus and Asteria (Starry-Night), or of Zeus and Hera. We do know her worship did not originate in Greece. One of her sacred animals was the toad, a symbol of conception. She was called the goddess of transformation as she ruled over the various passages of life, and could change forms or ages.

Hecate was considered to be the third aspect of the Moon, the Hag or Crone (Carrier of Wisdom). The Greeks called Hecate the Hag of the Dead. (The word “hag” may have come from the Egyptian word “heq”, meaning a matriarachal ruler who knew magickal words of power.)

An ally of Zeus, she was accompanied by a pack of hounds.

An aspect of the Amazon goddess, Hecate’s chariot was pulled by dragons. Her symbols were the key and the cauldron. The women who worshipped her often stained their palms and soles with henna. Her festivals were held at night by torchlight. Every year on the island of Aegina in the Saronic Gulf, a mysterious festival was held in her honor.

Black Candle Magic…

The black candle is very powerful. It is one of the most protective colors. It can be used to bring a person back down to earth. It can also be used in various ways to uncover secrets. It can be used in meditation, to help us find the light within the dark. It stabilizes and awakens greater responsibility. It is most effective when burnt with a white candle. Too much black can manifest depression.

Use Black candles for magic with…

The God, New moon magic, Male energy, banishing Magic, Diet, Protection; Repelling negativity; Binding, shapshifting. Use black candles for mirror Scrying. Traditional candles for the dead during remembrance rituals at Samhain (Halloween)

Black Salt

Black Salt is used in banishing, binding rituals or to quiet bothersome neighbors. Magically used to remove negative energies from items, or places. Often used to remove hexes and other harmful or negative energies. Cleanse your magical implements in a bath of black salt and water… and then wash in a bath of sea salt to purify the item and allow in only positive energies.

A PERFECT ingredient for filling ‘Binding Poppets’ for a powerful outcome. Place a black candle in a pile of black salt for Samhain Remembrance rituals, sprinkle Ouiji Boards with Black Salt before use.

*Making a black mirror at home

Here is a simple method for making a black mirror at home.

Buy a picture frame, complete with the glass.
Pick up some black paint at the craft/hardware shop, best use gouache paint, acrylic or oil based.
Make sure you have a paintbrush!
Disassemble the frame and lay the glass on a piece of newspaper.
Paint the backside of the glass with the black paint and let dry. (I recommend 2-3 coats.)
After it is all dry, if there is any need clean the outer part of the glass with winnow cleaner to make it extra shiny and pretty.
Place the painted glass into the picture frame the unpainted glass side facing outwards.
You can glue various magical items to your black magic picture frame, like herbs, crystals, stones, shells, feathers etc
Use with black candle, slightly tilted for candle Scrying, especially effective when the Sun is in Scorpio, October.

Esbats

While the sabbats are solar festivals that celebrate and honor the Sun, God and male energy, esbats are rituals celebrated by witches and pagans to revere the moon, and the feminine energy represented by her lunar cycle.

Esbats, derived from the French esbattre, meaning “to frolic,” are gatherings or solitary rituals held every month on the night of that month’s full moon, to worship the goddess as represented by the moon. Some groups and solitaries may hold their esbats on the night of the new moon, however. It is also the correct time to hold an esbat, and some motivated groups or persons may hold rituals on both nights. Esbats may also be known as lunar rituals.

While sabbats are strictly days of celebration, esbats are known as “working” rituals. This is usually the time set aside for a coven, groups or solitaries to perform magick, such as casting spells for the success of a new endeavor, healing rituals, etc.

Binding Spell

The purpose of this spell is to rid yourself of the negative energies of someone who is mentally or emotionally abusing you. If done properly, it will not harm the object of the spell nor will it affect his or her daily life in any way. It will simply make the person powerless to mentally or emotionally harm you.

Perform when Moon is dark

Materials:

Small cloth doll,(poppet) leave the head unstitched until you are ready to begin the ritual Needle and thread

Some personal item from the person you want to bind (fingernail clippings, hair, handwriting sample)

Black ribbon

Black candle

Cauldron or other fireproof container

Sterilized needle

Piece of parchment paper and pen or quill

One candle at each quarter (optional)

Ritual:

Call the quarters – I like to use candles at each quarter to form a circle of fire for extra protection. Light the black candle Concentrating deeply on the person you are binding, place the personal object inside the head of the doll and sew it shut.Tie the black ribbon around the poppet’s head, signifying the binding of that person.

‘With harm to none, my will be done

I hereby bind you (name of person)

Your words cannot harm me

Your thoughts cannot harm me

You cannot harm me’

Continue chanting this or something like it until you feel power surging through you. Visualize the person helpless to slander or verbally and mentally abuse you while you are chanting.

~ Now, to bind the spell ~

If you have a sigil or a craft name, sign it on the small piece of paper. If not, sign your own full name. If others are working the ritual with you, they too should sign the paper. With the sterilized needle, prick one of your fingers and put a small drop of blood over your signature. Again, if others are working with you, they should place a drop of blood over their signatures. (using a different needle, of course) Fold the paper, light it on fire and drop it into the cauldron (which should be on a heat-proof surface!). Meditate on the flames until the paper completely burns away. If you are working with a group, join hands at this point and feel the power surging around the circle as the spell is bound. Ground and center

Release the circle. Thank the Goddess and God for their protection and power Bury the doll as far away from you as possible within the next few days.

“You are bound to that which you bind !”

Spell to Raise Spirits

To see spirits, old European grimoires recommend mixing together aloe, pepper, musk, vervain, and saffron and burning this in a cemetery. We can adapt this for other locations (like those in which the spirit lived) by adding a bit of sweet grass or tobacco to a specially prepared incense. Create the incense on the anniversary of the death of the individual you wish to contact. This is then burned at 11 am, in the safety of a magic circle that also holds symbolic items to connect you to the entity. An incantation to encourage the spirit’s presence is:

“Guardians of the Spirit realm, hear and guide my plea.

When the witching hour rings true, bring my friend (loved one, etc.) ________ to me.

Other souls who hear my call are not welcome in this place.

Only the one known as _____ may enter sacred space.”

Repeat the request three times, twenty minutes apart, then wait quietly for indications of a presence. Signs include the scent of flowers or a favored cologne, a cool wind, movement of curtains, and candles going out or twitching erratically. Once you feel sure the spirit is with you, do not make it remain overly long. Take care of your business, say farewell, and thank the guardians for their assistance.

* Communication with and understanding the purposes of spirits:

! Word of Warning !

Spiritual entities should not be banished or called for amusement. It is best to contact a knowledgeable, experienced psychic for advice or assistance before undertaking any of these spells.

Witches Fivefold kiss

This was traditionally part of the ritual between the priest and priestess, as well as part of the great rite.

“Blessed be thy feet which have brought thee in these ways
Blessed be thy knees that kneel at the sacred altar
Blessed be thy sex, without which we would not be here
Blessed be thy breast, formed in beauty and strength
Blessed be thy lips, that they shall utter thy sacred names…”

To Curse a book

“By the powers of witches and mages

By the wisdom of crones and sages

By the Moon as it moves through its stages

By Hecate and lunar rages

By the Sphinx and for the ages

I craft a curse upon these pages.”

Repeat as needed.
Timing; When Mercury rules, Moon in Gemini, Wednesdays. Leave the candle to burn out until you here from the one you call.

Witches Bottle

The Witch’s Bottle protects the Witch from all negativity for as long as the bottle stays underground. This spell is an important part of the PectiWitan focus of my tradition because once you have created your bottle, there is no need to cast a circle for protection.

Making the Bottle:

– Take a small jar and fill it about halfway with sharp objects such as pins, needles, nails, screws, etc.
– Fill the rest of the bottle with urine and perhaps a spot of menstrual blood
– Tightly seal
– Use your athame (if you have one) to dig a hole (Make sure you chose a place that is unlikely to be disturbed)
– Place the bottle in the hole and cover with dirt

Witches Bottle Chant

‘I am a witch of ancient lore, I petition these trees, and forest floor.
Converge myself upon this site, spider weaving power and might.
Air and Fire, Water and Earth, aid in my quest, I call you forth.
Aradia, Aradia, I intone, thrice the power you have shone.
Open my spiral of strength and sorcery, encompass the soul you have granted me.
Pentacle of old, stones of deep, protection around, assistance I seek.
Marry my veins, to this Earth, Cernunnos I summon you forth.
Steele needles and pins, red blood of sins.
Buried deep in clandestine dusk, liquid Venus, scent of musk.
Hear my words from Moon to Moon, cite the Lord & Lady’s Rune
By the law of three times three, this spell is done, so mote it be…..

The Pentacle

ace-of-pentacles

Phantomwise.com

The most important symbol of Witchcraft is the pentacle. The pentacle (or pentagram) is a Witches symbol of protection and positive power. The five points signify earth, air, fire, water and spirit.

The symbol of Witchcraft, The Pentacle, is a bold and fascinating statement about our place in the Universe. The pentagram represents an ancient concept that can be found in philosophical thought in both East and West. Although over 8,000 years old, the image of the pentagram is applicable in our modern world. The pentagram tells us that we have the ability to bring Spirit to Earth; this applies to every area of practical day-to-day living, as well as spiritual thought. The ability of bringing Spirit to Earth is what makes us whole.

Earth: (lower left hand corner) represents stability and physical endurance.
Fire: (lower right hand corner) represents courage and daring.
Water: (upper right hand corner) represents emotions and intuition.
Air: (upper left hand corner) represents intelligence and the arts.
Spirit: (at the topmost point) represents the All and the Divine.

Orbs and Spirits

My 5-year-old daughter woke this morning talking a mile a minute about the spirits she was seeing: one green one pink/red. The green one she said was a man with brown hair and glasses and the pink/red one was a lady with long, black curly hair. I couldn’t figure it out for a few hours and then I had a strong urge to look up something about “seeing spirits and colors”.

I came across this website:http://paranormal.lovetoknow.com/Ghost_Orbs_Different_Colors
The Different Colors of Ghost Orbs and Their Meanings
Includes: • About orbs • Ghost orb colors and what they mean • Use ghost orb information carefully
PARANORMAL.LOVETOKNOW.COM

When I got to reading about the orbs and the colors and what they mean, it hit me like a ton of bricks right in my heart that she had just seen the spirits of my parents. I broke down completely. I lost my parents within three years of each other. It’s been really hard on me.

My daughter told me that one spirit was green, male, with glasses and brown hair. The other was pink/red and was lady with long black curly hair. After I composed myself a bit, I showed her some photos of my parents when they were younger and asked her if that was what she saw. She confirmed that this was what she saw in the orbs. Again, I broke down. Not from sadness, but from amazement, happiness and gratefulness. I miss my parents so much and to know that they are here is well…amazing and wonderful.

I am so humbled, grateful, happy, amazed, overwhelmed….I’m so glad that they are here watching over us. It was told to me by both a clairvoyant and a Druid High Priestess that my daughter would grow into some amazing gifts. I suppose this is only the first manifestation. Wow. Just wow.

I myself can’t see spirits, but I can feel them sometimes. All I can say at this point is that my daughter is amazing and that I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve this blessing. I’ve had two blessings in the past two weeks. Unreal.

P.S. I have never heard of someone being able to see orbs with the naked eye. Usually you have to use a flash camera to see them.

Tarot Card of the Day~Four of Wands-Reversed

four-of-wands

REVERSED FOUR OF WANDS TAROT CARD MEANINGS

The Four of Wands reversed suggests there is a lack of harmony or a breakdown in communication in your family or home. There may be tension between family members or loved ones and you are finding yourself getting caught up in other people’s concerns and relationship problems. This may leave you feeling uncertain about your own relationships and what you can and cannot depend on. You may also be going through a period of transition in your family and home life and feeling some tension as a result.

Similarly, you may find your home situation becomes increasingly unstable. There may be an external threat to the peace and happiness you once had in your home. You may be placed into a temporary situation which appeases your immediate concerns but does not yet solve the longer-term issues. Depending on your living arrangements, it may be better to move home for the time being to allow things to settle.

Given the upright Four of Wands reflects stability, the reversal of this card can indicate that you are going through a period of transition where there is little stability and security. You may be experiencing multiple changes in your life, such as changing jobs, moving house and/or leaving a relationship. While you know that this is an important transition that you need to make, it can be quite unsettling, leaving you feeling out of balance and uncertain about your future.

In a relationship reading, the Four of Wands reversed reflects someone who may not be looking for a particularly long-term relationship but is willing to invest in it for the time being. There is a lack of commitment, or even a fear of commitment, which is preventing them from wanting a long-term relationship.

Biddy Tarot

________________________________________________________________

This one hits me right in my anxiety today. I haven’t been working for the last year because I’m pretty disabled, but when I applied for disability (the case went all the way to a judge) I was denied because I have too much education. It’s like you can’t be smart to be disabled, which implies covertly that only the ignorant can be disabled and be compensated for it. That is weird.

Anyway, I have realized for some time that I’m going to have to get a job, but the one thing that is holding me back is that I know literally no one in this town that would be able to watch my daughter while I worked. I’m so picky about who stays with her while I’m gone. I mean you have to be, right? Her safety is paramount.

I also have the land that my mother left me when she died, which includes one renter. His rent pays for my car payment, but I need other incoming money as well. I have only that money coming in and everything else going out for other bills. There is also the house she lived in on that land. I want to rent that out as well, but I have to clean it out first. My mom was right on the border of being a hoarder so there’s a lot to do still and I’ve been working on it for the last year a little at a time as my pain level will allow. I didn’t do any this summer because I’ve had the electric turned off. I can’t afford to pay two electric bills. However, now that it’s getting cooler, I may be able to go over there in the daytime and clean a little more. If I can get her place cleaned out, I may not have to get a job because that rent would cover all my other bills pretty much.

So, yes, I am in a period of transition. I have some hard decisions to make and I do feel somewhat unstable and my anxiety level has risen lately because of this. I’m a worrier. I try really hard not to be, but I am. This is one of the things I have to work on with meditation and such.

Tarot Card of the Day: Two of Swords (Time To Make a Decision)

two of swords

From my personal diary:

In this card we see a woman standing in a green robe with her hood over her head so that we son’t see much of her face. She holds two swords crossed in front of her. The two swords are identical showing that she has  a balanced mind. She faces a white swan who sits high above her in a very twisty tree. Directly in front of the swan, hanging from the tree branch, is a red heart hanging from a piece of red thread. It seems as though either the swan is offering her heart to the woman or that that is the woman’s heart hanging from the tree and she must get past the swan to retrieve it.

There is another white swan close behind the woman. It is standing on the ground with its face upturned to her and seems to be offering her a flower, but because her back is turned, she doesn’t see this offering. It could be a willful turning away or simply something she does not notice because her attention is focused on what is in front of her.

This woman has a decision to make, but she is currently at an impasse, She either doesn’t want to make the decision, in which case she would be in denial. On the other hand, it could be because she can’t see what is behind her, she may not have all the information she needs to make her decision. The swords represent that her decision must be made using her logic and intellect rather than her intuition and emotion.

At the top of the card, there is a waxing moon (not waning) showing that whatever decision she makes will form a new beginning for her. There is a need for a truce here so that a decision can be made logically and intellectually. This woman needs to realize that she cannot avoid a situation by not making a decision one way or the other. She may be in denial of her emotions about this situation and although this calls for logic and her intellectual gifts,s he would be wise to unblock her emotions and thereby come out of her denial. The Goddess is all around her represented by the two swans, the twisted tree which is flowering and the new moon above, but she cannot see all of this because all of her attention is focused on the stalemate at hand.

The stalemate or impasse may also be her attempt to protect her self from some unknown factor. She needs more information in order to dig deeper so that she can make her decision to find out the truth of the situation. However, this will require a temporary lowering of her swords to do that.

Tarot of the Day: Discussion of the Five of Pentacles and a Bit on Grief

five of pentacles

From my personal diary:

A woman sits with her body curled in on itself and her head rests on her knee. Her face is not visible. She is surrounded by a transparent gray-ish bubble. Directly over her head, and inside the bubble, is a pentacle inside its own bubble.

She sits on the higher of two pedestals. Directly below her grow green and flowering vines which have penetrated her bubble. Directly in front of her, only inches from her outstretched arm, is a colorful butterfly inside its own bubble as well. On the pedestal below her (she sits on the higher one) is a chameleon looking at her as if he/she is expecting something.

The backdrop is a mottled and veiny gray wall. Coming directly from the top of the bubble which surrounds the woman, is a crack in the wall which is basically straight.  There is one wobbly part (almost as if it wasn’t sure of itself), but then it continues on straight to the top of the card. I also find it interesting that the crack in he wall comes directly out of the bubble that surrounds the woman. As if, in creating this bubble for herself, the energies she has created have affected the wall itself and caused it to crack.

To the left of the crack int he wall and in the top left corner we see a brightly colored and intricately designed stained glass window or painting. It is in the form of a circle with four pentacles inside and the pentacles themselves are inside their own circles. The colors inside the window or painting are basically green, purple, lavender, yellow, gold, white and gray. At the bottom of this circle, in the midst of a slash of bright yellow is a red heart, which is interestingly almost the same color as the butterfly

It seems to me that the main themes of this card are pentacles and circles. I know that when I get ready to cast a spell, I cast a circle to protect myself and I know also that the pentacles inside of a circle is a powerful symbol of protection as well. However, this is juxtaposed with the figure of the lone woman curled in on herself and since we cannot see her face, we have to assume that she also can’t see what is around her. However, the vines that are growing up from the Earth have penetrated her bubble and seem to be either touching her or moving into her. I can only think that this is the Goddess (higher power, Oneness…) attempting to ground her as she may be confused about something.

The woman seems very alone within her bubble. Almost as if she has protected herself so much and so well that she has pushed every other thing away. I know that within the Tarot, the sign of the Pentacle represents money or work. So, she has either lost money or lost work. Either way it’s a financial hardship and she has isolated herself within her bubble in her grief and sadness. She also could be experiencing emotional loss of something he has worked for.

The butterfly that hovers within its own bubble just out of her reach seems to symbolize beauty, hope, change, and/or metamorphosis. She would only have to lift her head a fraction of an inch to see it and reach out with the smallest of movements to pop the bubble surrounding the butterfly, thereby accessing its power for metamorphosis. However, at this point, she seems to be immobilized in her sadness.

I can’t help but think that if she would only move that the bubbles around her would pop and she could let in whatever pain or loss she has protected herself from. She seems to be stuck in a position where she feels sadness and/or grief, but is not letting it in wholly. It seems that if she did let it all the way in, she could finally deal with it and look up to see the beauty and hope around her. She could see that her heart is not in fact cracked in two, but whole, as is shown in the circle in the top left corner of the card.

I also think that the abundance of pentacles in the top left corner circle represent future work and financial successes if she could only come out of her bubble and recognize her own potential. This is a woman who has isolated herself with sadness and possibly self-esteem issues regarding her potential for success. She has experienced hardship and rejection and has decided that even though she is miserable that it is safer inside her bubble that outside of it. The problem with this, however, is that there is so much beauty and hope within inches of her reach if she would only move. If she would just move.

If anyone has anything else to add to this discussion, I would be more than happy to read it.

On a personal note, I pulled this card for myself yesterday when I was feeling particularly sad ( I deal with chronic depression.) and I was missing my mother terribly who died this past October suddenly of several heart attacks. It’s weird to contemplate that at my age and now with a child of my own, that I have no parents. I’m an adult orphan. It’s a weird concept to consider. I am feeling very alone at this time since I am in a new town and have yet to make any real friends. This is partly my fault since I tend to isolate myself and I have some health issues that prevent me from doing everything I would like to do socially. I am like the woman in the bubble who can’t see the beauty and hope for change beyond her own immediate surroundings. If I can only just move outside myself. I keep telling myself that. Just move. Just look around you. Let down your walls and experience life. It’s painful sometimes, but sometimes it’s joyful and hopeful. This is the thought I cling to.

I am also discovering that the grief I am experiencing from the death of my mother isn’t something that I can ever “get over” or “move through”. It has changed me irrevocably. I have to wake up each day with my first thought being, “I need to call my mom,” and then thinking to myself, “Shit, I can’t call her. She’s dead.” I found this floating around on the internet and it helped me so I thought I would share it with you all in the hopes that it may help someone else as well.

Coffee Magick 101: Wake Up People !

Magia photo by Daniel Lobo. Text added. Licensed under CC 2.0

If we follow our minds down the path of Coffee through time we find that the history is rich. For those of us who can’t live without it – coffee is everything ! The following is a quick overview of coffee magick , drink it in!

Voodoo and Coffee

Coffee Veve for Maman Brigitte photo by Lilith Dorsey

New Orleans Voodoo pairs coffee with everything from blessings to bourbon. The city is known for it’s preference for coffee with chicory. Natives of the crescent city often add eggshells to cut the bitterness of the blend and give it a flavor all it’s own. This however is much more than just a beverage, coffee is used as a medium for drawing ritual Veves. These are ground drawings laid out in elaborate patterns to both call and honor the Loa, or deities. Most often they are made with white flour or cornmeal, but when laying out a divine space for Maman Brigitte, the ancestors, or Papa Legba, coffee can be the sacred sprinkle of choice. Veves are laid out using both hands to represent the journey into both the visible and invisible world, Veves can be some of the most beautiful and powerful creations to behold. For more information check out Veves Sacred Cell numbers for the Gods . Coffee is also used as an offering, be sure to see my New Orleans Ritual Voodoo Coffee Recipe.

In Haiti’s Vodou religion coffee is also used an an offering for the ancestors. Known as Les Baron and Les Gede, these powerful ancestor energies live on through the offerings they take. Coffee is only one of many offerings they are given including, liquor, food, flowers, money and just about everything a person living, or dead could want.

Santeria and Coffee

Santeria, also known as La Regla Lucumi has a deity called Eleggua. Eleggua likes it dark and strong. Hundreds of thousands of worshipers prepare a coffee offering for their Eleggua/Exu every Monday. It usually goes along with his cigar and literally starts the week off “rite.” Coffee, like the Orisha Eleggua himself, is a portal, gateway to possibility if you know how to utilize it properly. Many systems of magick have discovered this fact about coffee.

Crowley Coffee

Coffee Magic Godmorgon. Kaffet känns extra magiskt denna morgon. :-) by

It is almost impossible to talk about Magick without talking about Aleister Crowley. His own mother referred to him as “the beast,” and he loved it. Apparently the beast loved coffee too and he wrote the following invocation (which can be found on The Hermetic Library Blog 🙂

O coffee! By the mighty Name of Power do I invoke thee, consecrating thee to the Service of the Magic of Light. Let the pulsations of my heart be strong and regular and slow! Let my brain be wakeful and active in its supreme task of self-control! That my desired end may be effected through Thy strength, Adonai, unto Whom be the Glory for ever! Amen without lie, and Amen, and Amen of Amen.

Coffee Divination

“If you want to improve your understanding, drink coffee. “ – Rev. Sydney Smith 1771-1845

Tea leaf reading has stolen the historic spotlight here, and most people are unaware of Coffee divination as a magickal system. Reading coffee grounds, tea leaves and the like is officially called Tasseography. In the book Cafe Nation by Sandra Mizumoto Posey writes “ Coffee divination is once again enjoying widespread popularity because of the beverage’s long-recognized ability to energize….Sufi mystics knew centuries ago that coffee had the ability to aid in meditation and prayer.”

Turkish culture genuinely loves it’s coffee too, and for them the ritual is complex.TurkishCulture.org explains the basics of coffee divination telling us to begin by drinking out of only one side of the cup and when the cup is done place the saucer on top and make a wish. The site tells us that some believe that the cup can “ tell the past but only foretell forty days into the future.” Basically the method is to use scrying as a tool to interpret what you see in the grounds and or foam left in the bottom of the cup.

Coffee magic is a huge subject, and I could go on and on, look for more posts on this topic in the days to come, as soon as I’ve had more coffee ! And do me a favor, when you wake up and press those share buttons below, maybe more coffee will come out !

3. you want to help you

4. you want to talk to

5. you want to restore a relationship with

This will be useful, for instance, if you want a promotion at work or if you have some kind of relationship that you want to restore or if someone is doing you harm and you want them to stop but don’t want to do a spell to bind them or you want someone to help you for any reason.

What You Need

1. Empty jar that can be sealed to not leak.

2. Pen

3. Paper (You need pieces of paper small enough to put in the jar, but large enough to write someone’s name on it three times.)

4. Karo Syrup (Can be either light or dark, but I would suggest light.)

5. Tealight candle

Working The Spell

1. Take the pen and paper and write the name/s of the person/people who you want to “sweeten” toward you. Write their name/s on the piece of paper three times.

2. Place the pieces of paper in the empty jar.

3. Add the Karo syrup.

4. Seal the jar.

5. Light a tealight candle every night for 3 consecutive nights and let it burn on top of the sealed jar which contains the karo syrup/paper mixture. Let the candle burn out. Do not blow it out.

6. Every morning when you get up, give the jar a shake to “sweeten” that person/s toward you.

Note: I would suggest that when you are writing the name/s on the paper of the person/people you want to “sweeten” toward you that you actively think about that person and how much you want them to “sweeten” toward you. Think about what you want that person to do for you or how much you want to restore the relationship or how much you want them to stop doing harm to you,…etc. As with all spells, the power of your mind is what sets it into action. A strong mind and visualization=a strong spell.

Blessed Be.
